Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine

Dean Health System's Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine specialists (pediatricians) provide comprehensive health care for girls and boys from birth through the teenage years, to age 18.

Our pediatricians are committed to optimal physical, mental and social development of each young patient. Whether your child needs wellness check-ups, preventive care and health education, or diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases and illnesses, our pediatricians are here to provide the best care possible for your child.

As part of a large network of Dean Health System physicians, our pediatricians can expedite referrals to other medical specialists as needed.

What's the difference between a pediatrician and a family physician? Pediatricians focus on care for children of all ages, while family physicians focus on care for the whole family which may include both children and adults. When a child reaches young adulthood (around 18 years of age), they should transition from seeing a pediatrician to an internal medicine physician or a family physician.
