Dean Partners with Janesville Business to Provide On-site Care Clinic Services
Healthcare in the Workplace for Lab Safety Supply Employees
Dean Health System is proud to announce it is now providing on-site medical and therapy services to the employees of Lab Safety Supply (LSS) in Janesville. Family Medicine Physician David Kass, DO, Nurse Practitioner Stephanie Schlueter and occupational and physical therapists from Dean’s Northview Clinic will all be available to the company’s approximately 800 employees as part of LSS ’s existing Convenient Care Clinic.
“Dean is extremely excited about entering this partnership with LSS,” says Allison Mooney, Dean’s Chief Operating Officer. “We recognize that in today’s rapidly changing business environment, it is important to provide flexible healthcare services such as this to employers like LSS.”
LSS is one of many employers nationally that has implemented on-site clinics in an effort to manage healthcare costs. On-site clinics are shown to improve employees’ health, demonstrate cost savings, aide in recruitment and decrease the time employees lose seeking medical care.
Providers and therapists will maintain regular office hours at LSS during the week. Employees schedule appointments through LSS Wellness Services, which has managed its Convenient Care Clinic for eight years.
Dean Health System currently serves the Janesville community with its Riverview Clinic and Surgery Center in the heart of the city, as well as Northview Clinic on Highway 14. Dean Health System and SSM Health Care of Wisconsin recently announced plans to build a $140 million hospital and physician office complex less than one mile from LSS. Scheduled to open in 2010, the new hospital and physician’s office complex will provide even greater healthcare convenience to LSS employees.
