Dean & St. Mary’s Recognized for Exceptional Care of Dane County ’s Older Adults
Dane County Board Passes Resolution to Honor Contributions
Earlier this month, the Dane County Board passed a resolution commending the Dean organization and St. Mary’s Hospital for their excellent support of older adults in Dane County.
Dean Health System, Dean Health Plan and St. Mary’s have funded seven issues of the Over 60 Resource Book, a partnership between the Dane County government, private health entities and local charitable organizations. Each edition has been a collaborative effort between Dean & St. Mary’s as well as the Area Agency on Aging, the United Way and the South Central Library System.
The Over 60 Resource Book has been produced and distributed since 1993. It serves as an up-to-date comprehensive health resource by which non-profit and county agencies can distribute information about their services and programs.
Over the years, Dean & St. Mary’s has compiled data, provided clerical support and developed the artistic vision for the book. The organizations have provided nearly 65,000 copies for Dane County’s older adults and those who care for them. The book is also distributed to other professionals in the field.
