Dean Riverview Clinic Provider Elected ACP Fellow

Janesville’s Dr. William Clanfield Elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians

Janesville, WI – William K. Clanfield, MD, FACP, an internist with special emphasis on geriatrics at Riverview Clinic in Janesville has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the society of internists. The distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the specialty of adult medical care.

Dr. Clanfield was elected upon the recommendation of peers and the review of ACP’s Credentials Subcommittee.

Dr. William Clanfield has been with Dean Health System since 1994 and is on Dean’s Board of Directors. He is certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He was named among America’s Top Physicians by the Consumers’ Research Council and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Clanfield is also the Medical Director of Cedar Crest Nursing Home and the Medical Advisor for the Rock County Health Department.

A graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Dr. Clanfield earned a medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

The American College of Physicians is the second-largest physician group in the United States. Membership includes more than 129,000 internists, related subspecialists, and medical students. Internists are specialists in the prevention, detection, and treatment of illnesses in adults.
