About Dean / Medical and Health Services
Primary, specialty and tertiary care is provided in southern Wisconsin through two care-giving networks. The first network consists of clinic locations in Dane, Rock and Walworth Counties. These clinics are owned and operated by DHS and provide primary and specialty care to some of the more densely populated areas of Dean’s market.
The second network is through a joint management venture of DHS and SSM Health Care-Wisconsin. While primary care is predominate in this network, an increasing number of specialists are providing a full complement of care in many of Wisconsin’s rural areas.
Both care-giving networks refer patients to hospitals in communities throughout the Dean service area, including three ambulatory surgery centers.
