The Opportunity

Psychiatrist/Hospitalist - St. Mary's Hospital
No Nights, No Call, No Weekends! Dean Health System, a 500+ multi-specialty group, is actively seeking a board eligible or board certified General Adult Psychiatrist to function as a hospitalist at St. Mary’s hospital in Madison, WI. This is an outstanding career opportunity that offers an attractive work schedule of Monday through Friday, with no call or weekends. Proficiency in ECT preferable, but we will train. Psychiatric consultation on medical units is an important part of this position. Average 4 inpatients, 2 consults, plus follow up care. The Department of Psychiatry currently has sixty four providers of care, including 13 psychiatrists, 18 psychologists, 22 masters therapists, and 11 registered nurses.

The Hospital
St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center has been serving Madison and South Central Wisconsin since 1912. The hospital is an expanding acute-care hospital with approximately 350 beds and is generally the hospital to which the Dean Health System Physicians admit. St. Mary's is very supportive of the Dean Health System physicians and works in a complementary manner on many joint ventures to provide excellence in patient care.

Clinical programs of special interest include the Dean/St. Mary's Cardiac Center, Family Birth Center (including obstetrics, high risk pregnancy, and neonatal intensive care), Neuroscience Center, Geriatrics, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Renal Services, and Emergency Services.
