St. Mary's Dean Ventures, Inc. (SMDV) was formed in 1989 as a joint venture between St. Mary's Hospital and Dean Health System to create a network of local community clinics linked to advanced specialty care in Madison. Today, there are more than 30 SMDV regional and eye network clinics providing convenient care to outlying communities in southern Wisconsin, and three St. Mary's Dean Day Surgery Centers in Madison and Janesville providing outpatient surgery and care.
SMDV provides financial, management, technological and recruitment support for the primary care clinics located throughout south central Wisconsin.

It is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and winner of the 2000 Wisconsin Forward Award - Governor's Award of Excellence. The Community
